Natural lacquer, also known as Chinese national lacquer, is a precious material derived from the sap of the lacquer tree. Water-Pattern Lacquer
An ancient yet vibrant artistic technique. We blend natural raw lacquer, colored lacquer, and orange oil, then gently float the mixture across the surface of water. Using refined methods such as dotting, pulling, and guiding, we create ever-changing, fluid textures and vivid patterns on the water—each one an improvised dance between lacquer and water.
These delicate designs are then carefully transferred onto the surface of each piece. Every flow of line and every fusion of color is entirely unique, giving each work its own distinctive artistic life.
